Actually, Mom's adoptive(?) mom - no idea when her birth mom was born. Mom's family was poor and her father died around the time of her birth (I think), so they placed her with relatives (the people I call my grandparents). And when they decided they wanted her back, my grandparents wouldn't give her back :) But she grew up knowing her brothers & sisters, but being raised as an only child.
