November books
Dec. 9th, 2005 08:56 pmNot much life-wise to comment on, so here are the books:
my one "nonfiction":
Odie Unleashed by Jim Davis (a Odie-centric cartoon collection)
Romance:
My Sunshine by Catherine Anderson - cute
Mystery:
Savage Run by C.J. Box
Fiddlers by Ed McBain [sniff] the last 87th Precinct [sniff]
Thrillers:
Camel Club by David Baldacci
Chill Factor by Sandra Brown
Iron Orchid by Stuart Woods
Hunting Fear by Kay Hooper
SF:
March Upcountry by David Weber and John Ringo
March to the Sea by same
March to the Stars by same (and now I wait for the next one[sigh])
Crown of Slaves by David Weber and Eric Flint (a reread - w/some serious deja vu until I figured it out :) )
The Peshawar Lancers by S.M. Stirling (another good alt. history by Stirling)
The two best this month were a thriller and a fantasy:
Creepers by David Morrell - about a group of people investigating an old abandoned hotel.
Talyn by Holly Lisle - Outsiders force a peace on 2 long-warring countries and Talyn discovers that the "peacebringers" are worse than any war.
So that's 15 for the month and 225 for the year.
