Getting a kitty!

I've been suffering from kitten rabies for a while now :) and torturing Mom with all my "come look at this kitty!" calls from the cat picture posts. So... my birthday is Friday. She went out to look at kittens and couldn't find any! But at the shelter, she found Ember, who's around a year old. So later in the day, we went back so I could see Ember - and we adopted her! She'll be spayed tomorrow and I can pick her up after 4 pm. Went looking online for the shelter page and found it and there was a picture!

Tried to talk Mom into getting an adorable chocolate lab puppy, but she resisted.

Of course, now we'll need to expect a box of kittens to be dumped off on our road - we live on a road with few people and lots of areas where you can't be seen when you drop off an animal :(
