Funeral is set - tomorrow at 1 pm. Cousins from GA have decided to come. I have one person left to notify.

Been running around all afternoon and on the phone waaaaay too much.

Did get to rant about everyone to therapist - felt so good.

Now going to try to find some pictures, so that horrible one in the paper isn't the last one people see.

And maybe nap :)

I quite agree on the picture. The last image being a booking picture seems kind of inappropriate.

Seeing as the paper is on-line, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting them to use whatever you locate.

Unfortunately, all the pictures I have are two of her as a child and 2 as a teen. Hopefully the obit just won't have a picture. I did print them out on 4x6 photo paper - and a couple on full size regular paper (didn't have any full size photo paper). Hmm, I think I'll post them :)

None of them would work for the newspaper, so I'm hoping they'll just not have a picture, but I'll put these up somehow at the grave site, so that people can see them.

Make sure you create a memorial for her at http://www.findagrave.com

If you create the memorial, you can control the description, pictures, ...
You can also link children to parents, husbands and wifes, ...
You can also add memorials for other family that are buried in the same cemetery.

You will have to create a login for yourself first, but that isn't much work. You can even call yourself OtterEvil or TamTam without worrying about whether someone else is already using that user ID. Find-a-Grave accounts are actually tied to your email address and the given name displayed for the account is whatever "other string" you wish to associate with the account.

Good grief there are a lot of cemeteries in your county. Find a Grave lists 448 ... church, family, township, and village cemeteries. Wow, thats a lot.

I live in a fairly large county, but we have only 143 cemeteries. Most of ours are (~20) large (multi acre) city cemeteries with the rest (~120) being 1 to 2 acre rural cemeteries.

They'd probably break down along racial lines - lots of mostly Afr-Am churches and cemeteries and lots of mostly white ones. Some mixed. And probably some that are mostly Hispanic or other ethnic groups too. Hmm... nope, can't tell from names in the phone book. Just mostly Baptist and Methodist.
