excel help?
Dec. 7th, 2009 06:16 pmI'm being extra stupid today - I cannot figure out how to do a formula.
I have a price in one column - in the next column I need a discounted price. I actually know the formula, but I cannot figure out how to put it in so that it will work. I need it for the whole column, but if I have to put it into each block, that's fine.

Date: 2009-12-08 03:04 am (UTC)A1 (column / row that has price of item) * discount percentage to get discount price.
You can then copy and paste into the remainder of the column if more then one item price.
For total you can do a Sum which is a greek symbol that look like an E. I have no clue how to find it on my keyboard, sorry.
Or if the discount is the same you can put that in a cell at top reference it with a $Column/$row number and copy paste so that reference is permanent.
Hope this helps.
