A GGK fangirl, are we? :)

I've read Tigana, A Song for Arbonne, and Ysabel. I have the first book of the Finovar Tapestry, but haven't read it yet either. Love them!

I've had some of these books for years and am determined to whittle down the pile :)

My vote is also for Lions -- and GGK has a new book coming out in the spring.

((Edit) -- Here from [livejournal.com profile] librarything, of course.)

Always happy to hear about a new GGK!

It's called Under Heaven (http://www.brightweavings.com/books/underheaven.htm) and it's due in April, I think.

Thanks!

Not voting since I've only read the one of those books, but I've two on my TBR pile as well ("Beauty" and "The Suspicions of Mr Whicher"). I just wanted to say... Whenever you get to Kay's Fionavar Tapestry books, keep in mind they're his earliest and (possibly) worst books. (Mind you 'worst' is still pretty good, things we now consider cliché aside.)

(I loved Lions, though, and should really reread "Tigana"...)

(Also, hi! Here from [livejournal.com profile] librarything, 'course. ^-^)

I've heard that about the Fionavar books - I'll try to keep it in mind :) And Tigana - {sigh} so beautiful.

I know very few of these books, so I just picked one. Looks like a lot of people agree with me, though. ;)

Shows you have good taste :)

Lisle's "Diplomacy of Wolves" and the two follow-up books ("Vengance of Dragons" and "Courage of Falcons") are very good. I recommend them highly.

I've read other things by her and am looking forward to this one.

Beauty's the only one I'm familiar with, but it's pretty good. It irritates a few people, but on the whole it's worth trying.

In retrospect, I think it's Sunshine that's good but irritates a few. I liked Beauty when I read it, but that was years ago.

I think you've got authors mixed up - Robin McKinley wrote Sunshine - and she did a Beauty also, but Tepper is more of a SF writer. Love McKinley too though :)

Whoops! I get McKinley & McKillip confused all the time, but I don't usually mix Tepper in there.

Oh, I love McKillip too :) Possibly there should be fewer books with the same titles :)
