Stasis

Saw the lawyer. Since everything still belongs to the estate, I'm fine. C. and wife will have to take their case to the court - they may win ::shrug::

The lawyer said if we wanted to trade property, we could do something called "an intent to change" (or something like that) and re-assign the tracts and then get the deeds done the way we want them. If Richard and I agree on everything, we can do it or a lawyer can. Or we can wait and do the deeds when probate is over. I think I'd like to get it over with so everything would be settled. We'll see.

I'm not bringing anything up until next week anyway - I'm going to Winston-Salem tomorrow for my Thursday appointment and I'm thinking of staying over until Friday since that's when the eviction court date is. I have gotten to see Michelle - she came over last night for homework help :) She knows stuff is going on, but I'm trying to make sure none of it affects her. And I'm still going to have C.'s wife clean - we may sneak around a bit so as not to deal with his ranting, but until it's legally his, he can't tell me who I can or can't have in the house.

Now I've just got to get the gun back...

I've been told that if I want to live here past Dec. 11, I'll do what I'm told.
