Sewing

I've been enjoying my sewing class and thought I'd show you some of the things I've done so far...

this is my skirt - it's flawed, but for the first thing I really ever sewed, it's damn good. I've got enough fabric to do another, which I probably will.


I also did a tote bag:

Hobby Lobby was having a sale on patterns, so I went and got a few - and one set is for laptop bags, so I'm going to go get some fabric for my netbook :)

What kind of netbook do you have, Tam? I'm lusting for one like crazy and can't find the one the guys here at work recommended.

I have an Acer Aspire One (in blue) and I'm crazy about it. I haven't used it as much this summer, but did while I was taking my class - and while I travel, of course.

Love my gadgets :)

That's why I ended up ordering it instead of just picking it up at one of the multitude of stores that carry it. In the store, they only have the 3 cell battery with a 3 hour life. Totally worth the extra $50 to get the extended battery life, IMO.

Smart move. I wanted to see one first to make sure I liked it since I hadn't seen any in real life :)

And, so far, I haven't really been anywhere I couldn't plug in, but I might have to look into getting the better battery.
