Movies and morons
Jul. 31st, 2008 07:47 pm::still humming "What part of no don't you understand?"::
Really enjoyed The Dark Knight. Ledger was ... wow. The Two-Face makeup was ewwwwwwwwwwww! Eckhart was excellent - and Freeman, Caine, and Oldman were their usual superlative selves. Really liked Gyllenhaal. Hate Bale's Batman voice - but love him as Wayne. Really enjoyed a lot of the side character actors - Cillian Murphy, Eric Roberts, Anthony Michael Hall, Tommy Lister - and Keith Szarabajka, whom I've loved since the late 80's when he was in "The Equalizer".
I'll have to wait on Iron Man to show up at the dollar movies in a couple of months - couldn't go to the 3:30 showing and the last show is 10 pm - full price and at the mall. No thanks. Maybe it'll show up quickly :)
Well, annoying cousin's checks didn't come today - but they should tomorrow. To get her off my porch, I dropped her off at a convenience store. And she asked if she called, would I come get her and let her stay on the porch again ::sigh:: I told her that if she *didn't* call and managed to get back, she could, but I wasn't coming to get her. So then I left for a quick dinner and to see my therapist.
Guess what? Got home and there's a message - "Tammy, if I'm not there in a couple of hours, could you come get me?" So I deleted the message and cleared out the caller ID :)
The answer is no. It's a lovely little word. And it's a complete sentence all on its own. No.
If she gets here, she can stay on the porch. For her sake, I hope the rain stops.
And my therapist thinks I'm doing the right thing :) Always nice to have extra backup :)
ETA: Aaaaand, she just called. Nobody will give her a ride. Her legs hurt too much to walk. But she'll see if she can beg someone to give her a ride.
