So evil and cruel I am ::sniff:: ::sniff::

My poor little Honey Bunny (the calico) had her yearly vet visit this week (Ember's was before my birthday) and she got some ointment that I'm supposed to put in her eyes twice a day. The sweetie barely likes being petted and tolerates being held not much better - so being held AND having goop put in her eyes? Not a happy kitty. I think she even growled at me. Then she ran away to hide.

And I get to do this twice a day?

Damn, I'm going to have to dole out the kitty treats with a heavy hand until this clears up.

(She appears to have allergies - I joke she's allergic to herself)(Her eyes are runny - it's clear, she just looks tearful all the time)

Here's a picture of my sweetie:

Hmmm, maybe if I held down the boy and let her beat up on him...

Did it clear up? Or really cause her any problems? I'm going to try the ointment, but if it recurs, I'm tempted to just let it go.

I couldn't even get Jewel's heartworm treatment (one dose, in a plunger) in her this morning. She already hates me, and I'm supposed to be doing her ears twice a day. That's going to be a 2 person job.

Po' Jewelkitty. Po' Jerel!

I'm contemplating just doing once a day - she's skittish enough already, I don't want her to start hiding from me.

Bad Tam! Being mean to such a cutie!

No, actually, I empathize. I have to considering what we just started having to do with Bitty. Though my mom says she likes the ear massage after the med part's done. ::g:: If we could just get her out from under the bed! And it's definitely a two person job for eyes. Between drops and ointment we had to mess with Tig's eyes 5 times a day a few months back. Not to mention the twice daily oral antibiotic and her Derm Caps.

As for the boy, does he have a name? Besides 'Your mama better come get you soon!' I mean. ::g::

The boy has a girl's name - Sapphire.
Which I think is totally dumb (for a boy) - cousin also calls him Saffron, which is a bit better.

I call him other things...
