Telling stories on Friday

eviltammyat A(ugusta) Baker's Dozen Storytelling Festival (http://www.richland.lib.sc.us/baker.htm). The fourth graders from the surrounding counties come hear stories from a variety of tellers. We tell 3 times during which the groups rotate so that they hear 3 different tellers. I've done it a few times before, but have had to cancel last year because I was sick. Since it starts in the morning and I am *so* not a morning person, I'm driving down tomorrow evening so that I don't have to get up and drive 2 hours to get there Friday.
I'm also very glad I won't be there Saturday - apparently there's going to be a Neo-Nazi demonstration against illegal immigration ::sigh:: (http://www.thestate.com/312/story/36279.html)
Luckily our event is Friday and the other stuff is inside the library on Saturday, because I wonder if they'd be able to resist causing trouble. Though I wonder if they'd be smart enough to actually figure out this event is named after an African-American woman =;> One would hope they wouldn't do anything because it's a children's event, but one would also be prepared to be disappointed.
