Well, eviction court is over. They have until next Thursday to get out. Brother & niece came over this morning after. Brother said cousin said that we promised him a year's free rent for work on property & trailer - NOT. Brother said cousin also brought up the claim on the property and the judge looked at the paper and said "what's this got to do with anything".

Talked to cousin's mom, who went to court to watch, and she says brother got up and lied about everything. Nothing about her son lying. Did discuss withdrawing from contact with cousin&wife to maintain cease-fire and agreed to meet elsewhere to exchange my uncle's mail.

I get the feeling cousin may try to get brother in trouble over all the yelling/threats. Brother said something about cousin going for a warrant. Cousin's mom said something about all she asked was that if I was subpeona'd, that I tell the truth about what I heard. ::sigh::

I did go ahead and warn her about my memory :) It's weird and I can't figure out if it's deliberate or not - I *do not* remember conversations. A friend from work in NC used to be driven crazy by this fact ::snerk:: - mostly because she wanted every! single! detail! of conversations and I just couldn't deliver. I can remember the important parts - conversation parts in general, topics, what was decided, etc., but not details. I think it's because I don't really need the details, just the conclusions - at least in a work setting.

The blow-up when cousin&wife were here was basically 2 weeks ago - there was yelling and threatening, yes. I don't specifically remember any threats of a physical nature - I do remember threats to call the police. I remember cousin's wife trying to get brother to look at all the work that had been done and he basically ignored her.

I can remember reviews/plots of books/movies/tv shows that I never saw/read and definitely the ones I did see/read, some things from decades ago that are great stories and humiliating events. I can remember, in general, how the cons I've attended went and certain moments in greater detail. But I can't remember the details of conversations, interviews, etc.

Do you think this is deliberate on my part? Well, I know some of it is - if I know the results and plans from a meeting, why bother remembering the details of it. But sometimes it seems like my brain decided "okay, these things I need to remember - books, movies, stories, these could be useful at work. Meeting details, interviews, general conversations - forget them."

And, god forbid you wake me up and try to tell me something that I'll need to remember! I've had conversations with people that I've forgotten completely. When I was still living at home, Mom would wake me up and tell me to do something; when she came home and it was still undone, I often had no memory of being woken up at all. And I apparently held a conversation with someone at work once one morning - and when I got to work, I had no idea what they were talking about at all - I didn't remember speaking to them. I tell people if you wake me up, make sure I write it down before you leave/hang up, or otherwise it never happened.

I remember very little of the actual events of my childhood - just a general sense of it being nice, no really explicit episodes - except for a few utterly humiliating ones. And the utter horror of those explains their retention.

Is this normal?

Plan update: doctor appointment set to discuss anti-depressants/health issues. Both lawyers called - appointment made for probate guy, disabilty guy's secretary called me back - no news on disability hearing yet and my inheritance will not affect my claim. Service call with phone company is set up and will be talking to niece's mom about doing cleaning.
