So I went and saw Wolverine (yeah!) and then went back outside and bought another ticket and went to see Star Trek (another yeah!).

I made it through and saw the clip after the credits on Wolverine, but Star Trek stretched me :) And rather than pee in the theater, I went to the restroom :) So my question is at the very end, Kirk gets his command and takes over from Pike. The next scene is on the Enterprise - what happened? And are there after credit bits?

Seriously, it was leave early or pee in my seat :) I decided to be nice .

I haven't thought through all the ramifications of the Star Trek changes, but just on first response, I enjoyed it. And I don't know enough of the background of X-Men to be upset (or not) by their changes to the canon, so I can't fuss at that :) I enjoyed it mostly - Jackman looked *fine*, thought Liev Schrieber(sp) was excellent and would really like to see more Gambit :) As always, there are too many characters to get any depth on them, which was disappointing. Thought throwing in Scott and Professor Xavier was cool - added plus of not wanting Scott dead two minutes after he appears (heh) - the idea of the de-aging of Prof X(and how cool was it that Stewart did that ::G::) was great, but looked very plastic to me.

Which brings up a second question... wait - okay, is this movie in any way related to X-Men canon? (any of it? 'cause I know they f*cked with it several times) Oh, and my question is moot anyway, because it's done after the other movies... Oh, well.... Forget that.
